Jopen Nonnetje Hazy IPA
They brew it in a church. They name it ‘little nun’. And somehow, it’s still one of the cheekiest beers we’ve ever tasted. Juicy, tropical, and boldly bitter — a hazy IPA that’s bright, balanced, and holy in all the right ways.

Verdict & Opinion
Hero
They brew it in a church. They name it ‘little nun’. And somehow, it’s still one of the cheekiest beers we’ve ever tasted.
Jopen’s Nonnetje Hazy is a non-alcoholic IPA that flirts with blasphemy — not because it misbehaves, but because it tastes way too good for something this pure. Most hazy IPAs at 0.5% try to hide what they’re missing. This one doesn’t apologize. It leans into bright tropical fruit, resinous hops, and a bitterness that lingers just long enough to feel earned.
The body is full enough that you forget you’re drinking something barely alcoholic. The passionfruit punches through. The yeastiness adds complexity. It’s juicy, fresh, and leaves your palate ready for another.
And that name? Nonnetje — little nun. Brewed in the Jopenkerk chapel in Haarlem, where the only sermons now involve hop schedules. At €2.91, it’s priced like confession but tastes like redemption.
Hero status confirmed. We’re not saying it’s a miracle. But we’d confess our sins just to order another.
