The Whiplash Never Drinking Again
Head back, neck snap, can't stop — catching whiplash never felt this good. This hazy Irish IPA delivers a tropical punch of gooseberry, mango, and apricot with a full-bodied, creamy texture that makes you forget there's barely any alcohol in it. Balanced, crisp, and unapologetically juicy.
Aroma & Taste
The Whiplash Never Drinking Again opens with intensely zesty aromas of gooseberry, apricot, and stone fruits, layered with bright orange notes that grab your attention immediately.
On the palate, New Zealand hops take center stage with a juicy tropical hit of mango, gooseberry, and apricot, balanced by a smooth, soft bitterness that never overwhelms.
The finish is full-bodied and creamy, with a texture that feels indulgent yet refreshing, leaving behind a clean, satisfying aftertaste that begs for another sip.
Story & Design
Whiplash Beer started in 2016 as a weekend project between friends Alex Lawes and Alan Wolfe, who were already working in brewing but wanted to experiment with their own ideas.
What began as renting brewery tanks on weekends quickly escalated into Ireland's top-rated brewery on Untappd, earning Beer of the Year from Irish consumers and becoming the first Irish brewery invited to the prestigious Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen.
By 2019, the duo had built their own purpose-built brewery in Ballyfermot, Dublin, where they now craft everything from hop-forward IPAs to experimental one-offs with a team of 13.
Whiplash has a reputation for pushing boundaries without pretension — "a weekend project that has since ruined our lives," as they describe it, complete with Dublin brewery and tears.
The can design is bold and eye-catching, featuring striking graphics that reflect the brewery's confident, no-nonsense approach to craft beer.

Verdict & Opinion
This beer hits you like the best kind of whiplash: sudden, unexpected, and leaving you dazed in the best possible way. It pours deep amber with a hazy glow, looking more like liquid copper than your standard pale IPA. The aroma is a tropical haymaker: gooseberry, apricot, and stone fruits collide with bright orange zest. Your head snaps back. You lean in for more.
Dublin knows beer. From the Guinness gates on St. James's to the craft beer revolution sweeping through Ballyfermot, this city has brewing in its DNA. And on a St. Patrick's Day when everyone else is drowning in green lager, Never Drinking Again is the beer that lets you celebrate without the hangover. It's Dublin doing what Dublin does best: taking tradition, flipping it sideways, and making something brilliant.
What sets this beer apart is its refusal to apologize. Too many non-alcoholic IPAs either go too sweet or lean too hard into bitterness to prove they're "real beer." Whiplash does neither. It's confident, poised, and makes no excuses for being alcohol-free — very Irish, really.
At €2.90 per 330ml, it's priced right for what you're getting: a world-class non-alcoholic IPA from Ireland's most acclaimed craft brewery. Never Drinking Again isn't just good for a non-alcoholic beer — it's a Hero that stands proudly next to any craft IPA on the shelf. If you're spending money on alcohol-free beer, this is where it should go. Head back, neck snap, can't stop — catching whiplash never felt this good.
